Items that we are unable to reprocess

Contamination can mean that we may be unable to recycle the waste. In general the following materials cannot be reprocessed so if these materials are present they should be segregated to avoid contamination of the useful grades. Our experienced bpi.recycled products scrap purchasing team are always on hand to provide advice: recycle@bpipoly.com
Flame retardant, high molecular or cross linked PE.
Laminated and barrier films where nylon is normally used. These types of film are very common in the food industry.
Wash grades cannot contain other polymer types (PP, PVC, PS etc. Must be PE)
